Scholarship Recipient Jordan Peterson

Jordan Peterson, daughter of Toni Peterson, Occupational Therapist for Hutchinson Health, was one of two 2015 recipients of the Foundation’s Employee Child Scholarships. To provide a better understanding of how these scholarships, made possible by our grateful donors, impact our youth, we asked her to share her thoughts.

Jordan had this to say:

When I received my generous donation from the Foundation, I was honored and excited to represent the Foundation in the medical field and as a student of physical therapy. The Foundation’s donation has helped me pursue my future career plans as a practicing physical therapist, and has supported me as a Physical Therapy Student at the University of North Dakota. I am excited to continue my education, and become a contributing member of the healthcare community.

I believe scholarships in local communities’ help students pursue their dreams despite any financial hardships they may be experiencing. Each student should have the opportunity to embark on their career path with hard work and motivation. Community scholarships like the one I received from Hutch Health aid each student to further the journey down their educational path.”

If you know a student who wishes to pursue an education in the health care field, we take applications on an annual basis. Applications for high school students can be found with high school counselors. The employee child application can be downloaded here or picked up at the Foundation Office.
